John has always been interested in transport, and having lived in Doncaster for sixteen years has a special affection for Doncaster Corporation, Yorkshire Traction and the local independents of South Yorkshire (many had AECs in their fleets).  John started photographing buses in the mid 1960s.  In the Seventies he lived in south east London (RT territory!) and he now lives in Hertfordshire.
